Pacific Sunrise: Anxiety + Mental Clarity Tea

Pacific Sunrise is a gorgeous herbal blend of Plants that help reduce anxiety & the impacts of stress, while also helping promote focus and cognitive health. It’s one of the most delicious tea blends I’ve ever tasted!
With Hibiscus, Pineapple, Lemon Balm, Tulsi, and Cinnamon. Simple, yet in the perfect ratio! So good. Delicious as a Sun Tea, served iced or hot. It’s quickly become my child’s favourite also! Amazing for kids (and really all ages) as it soothes a frazzled nervous system, helps bring a sense of calm & calls us back into the body. Especially supportive for difficulty concentrating or sticking with one task. I suggest adding a touch of honey or sweetener of your choice as it brings out the flavours more so, especially of the Tulsi & Lemon Balm.
Hibiscus is a beautiful Flower Medicine that evokes vitality, supporting energy movement to prevent stuck + stagnant energies. Hibiscus may support liver health, the taste is tart, which is the taste associated with the Liver in TCM.
Hibiscus is a mild diuretic, cooling, anti-inflammatory and soothing ~ making it perfect for Summer, naturally cooling our bodies even if drank at room temperature. Hibiscus also has an affinity for the cardiovascular system, strengthening vasculature, lowering high blood pressure, we can see it in the gorgeous colour of this Medicine!
Pineapple was added to bring a little fruitiness to the tea blend, I’ve been wanting to make a Medicine with Pineapple for awhile, and this tea came to be organically as I was making a yummy blend for my family one evening!
Lemon Balm & Tulsi are a perfect combo, both very delicious! Lemon Balm is one of my go-tos for nervous system support and stress as they are a calming nervine, but don’t cause fatigue. They’re also wonderful for bringing joy, lifting low mood. They are often worked with for anxiety, as well as adhd.
Lemon Balm also may be helpful for supporting proper digestion & gut health. They’re also a potent hyalouronidase inhibitor, which is the enzyme that breaks down hyalouronic acid (needed for healthy, glowing skin & healthy joint mobility). For this reason, Lemon Balm may also be helpful for supporting a vital & glowing skin complexion. Lemon Balm also has some anti-viral & anti-inflammatory properties, which may aid our immune system.
Tulsi, also known as Holy Basil, are in a few formulas this season as they are just so supportive of our overall mental & physical health. They are an adaptogen as well as promote overall vitality, and focus. They not only calm the mind, and reduce anxiety, but they also provide a sense of presence that allows us to really focus on the task in front of us - vs. ruminating about all the past + future events swirling around.
Cinnamon rounds the blend out with some depth, and a bit of warmth. Many folks tend to a cooler constitution, so the Cinnamon helps bring a bit of balance. Strengthening our digestion, also with an affinity to the cardiovascular system.
INGREDIENTS: Hibiscus, Pineapple, Tulsi, Lemon Balm, Cinnamon, Blue Corn Flower
WORK WITH PACIFIC SUNSETS: Delicious as an infusion/tisane any time of day, hot or iced. You can work with this blend anytime of day as it won’t cause sleepiness or grogginess, but brings calm, focused energy. 2tsp-1TBSP loose herbs per 12oz boiling water, steep, covered, for 10-20 minutes. Adding more or less herb to taste. Experiment with steeping times! A longer steep can bring more of the Hibiscus flavour out. Adding a bit of sweetener also brings out the flavours, especially the Tulsi. Also delicious as a Sun Tea!
