Solar Rising {Mood Support, Protection, St. John's Wort + Lemon Balm}
Solar Rising {Mood Support, Protection, St. John's Wort + Lemon Balm}
Solar Rising is a blend of two uplifting, mood & nerve supportive Plant allies that help boost mood, and remember joy. The vitality of the Sun. They may also support digestion. This blend continues to offer deep support & Solar vibrations.
They feel like happiness & expansion on a warm Summer day. They remind me to find the moments of happiness & help me actually be able to *feel* & *see* those joyous moments, even just the feel of the Sun, a cool breeze, etc.
Lemon Balm & Hypericum often are able to bring us back to the present moment, and may keep us above Water. Intended to be supportive for spectrums of anxiety, and low mood. Joy. Uplifting.
Goldenwort is one of the most clinically researched Plant Medicines of the times, they are often worked with for low mood & may be effective for mild to moderate depression {please research them if interested}. They revive our Spirit, and help support us during times of low mood. I especially love working with them during the Winter. They are threshshold medicines; offering energetic & subtle body protection, as well as guiding us in crossing thresholds of all kinds. They also may be supportive for the nervous system, and have some anti-viral activity. They do interact with many medications - please consult your health care practitioner if you are working with any medications of any kind {including oral contraceptives}.
Another aspect of Hypericum is the ability to help strengthen our ‘gut knowing’ or intuition, through their action on our enteric nervous system (nervous system in the gut). This is another way that Hypericum offers protection to us, by strengthening our own perceptions and ability to intuitively know when a situation/person/pattern/etc is not suited to us. Discernment.
They may be helpful with H. Pylori infections & healing ulcers {animal studies}. Lemon Balm as well has some preliminary research suggesting they may prevent GI ulcers. This blend feels supportive for the gastrointestinal tract, healing.
Lemon Balm is a lovely, emerald green, calming Plant ally, they are often worked with for anxiety & worry. They truly uplift the Spirit. They also may be helpful for the digestive system, offering support for folks who are prone to indigestion or bloating. Lemon Balm also tastes so delicious. They are also cooling in Nature, which may be helpful if one is experiencing excess heat, irritability, anger, or inflammation.
They also are lovely for healthy aging support as they inhibit hyaluronic acid & collagen breakdown in the body {keeping our cells plump + juicy and functioning optimally}. Lemon Balm is also known as a trophorestorative Plant ally, meaning, they actually help to restore the nervous system vs. just calming. They do both, restore & bring a sense of calm + uplifted Spirit. To me they feel calming and rejuvenating to an overactive nervous system state (irritable, jumpy, forgetful, volatile emotional states, etc). They don’t make me feel tired like some calming allies, but more, just uplifted & remembering what brings me Joy. Almost bringing out the child like awe, curiosity, playfulness & glee. Helping us access that Joy, and tending to our nervous systems. Lemon Balm is sometimes worked with for hyperthyroidism, and caution should be employed if one is in a hypothyroid state.
Lemon Balm mildly vasodilates (expand) the peripheral blood vessels, which may also help lower blood pressure and relieve tension from headaches. Again, this is quite specific, and there are other factors at play. Herbalist David Hoffman states that they have a tonic effect on the heart and circulatory system as a whole; though I haven’t heard it’s tonic effects on the heart before. They do feel like Heart medicines in the way they remind us of the happiness within ourselves & around us. It makes sense if we also tie in the vasculature. Lemon Balm is also a mild nootropic herb - one that helps with memory and focus (cognitive funtion). They aren’t as stimulating as some of our other nootropics. They can be worked with for someone that feels like they can't focus because their mind is all over the place - sort of that scattered, lack of focus.
Rosehips offer some sweetness & further vasculature support, bringing a balance to this blend with their Heart soothing & nourishing qualities.
