Winter Forests Hydrosol

A beautiful hydrosol to evoke the energy of the Yule Season, and Northern Forests. Balsam Fir are some of my favourite Tree kin, their smell just feels so comforting and uplifting. They grow in the North Eastern part of so called North America. Their oils are often worked with to help ease tension & bring that sense of ‘ahhh,’ coming back to one’s self.

Sitka Spruce are a beautiful, huge Tree kin. They are the largest of the Spruce Trees and grow along the North Western Coasts. Growing in the Ocean mist. They hold protection medicine, as well as those reminders of hope & renewal that many Evergreen Trees hold. I added Blood Orange as they have been present this Season, bringing that Solar energy, Sun Medicine, hope, brightness, as we near the Winter Solstice. Cinnamon brings some warmth, protection & symbolizes prosperity {beyond what the current colonial over culture deems prosperous}.

Overall this hydrosol may help to increase circulation, and lift energy. Each of these Plant kin are worked with for increasing blood flow and reduce inflammation. This may be extra helpful during Winter months when we may be a bit slower, the energy may be a bit heavier, and harsher temperatures & wind may cause more irritation to the skin. I find Tree Medicines often bring that feeling of unconditional love, Creation type love from our Tree kin. With the added brightness & warmth from Blood Orange + Cinnamon. Easing our Hearts.

I love working with hydrosols throughout the day. Adding a bit of hydration to the skin, while also receiving the benefits of aromatherapy. I’ve used this one over makeup as well & it works well. Typically I apply before my oil based serum & sort of mix them together on my skin to add some hydration, and deepened effects of the serum.

Work with Winter Forests: Work with as a facial spray, either before your skincare routine, or after oil based serums (be sure to massage into the skin). Can be worked with throughout the day, even over makeup, to refresh, hydrate & offer protection to the skin. Can also be worked with as an after Sun/day in the Snow spray, potentially reducing heat & inflammation. I like to work with them as a full body spray as well. You can also work with them as a room spray to clear & lift energies. To ground while also bringing brightness. Best if kept refrigerated (I don’t always keep them in fridge, but it does increase shelf life). Work with the bottle within 3-4 months.

*Contains a small amount of Cinnamon hydrosol, as always with new skincare, do a patch test first. If there is sensitivity can use as a beautiful room + car + space spray too! I love working with this one on my body to also increase circulation, after a shower and before oils/lotions
